We helped one of the worlds largest NGOs build and realise a digital strategy to reach out to new audiences in the UK.

Akshaya Patra is one of the world’s largest NGOs and works to eradicate classroom hunger and facilitate childhood education by serving freshly cooked, nourishing lunches to 1.6 million school children across India every day. Akshaya Patra approached Poplify to reinvigorate its brand presence in the UK and increase its donor base and community of volunteers.

The Poplify products team redesigned the UK website from the ground up. Firstly focussing on Akshaya Patra’s rich history and social impact to date to build an engaging brand story for new and existing supporters, and secondly shifting the website from a static to a dynamic channel that allowed for constantly evolving content and timely updates.

The Poplify marketing team worked closely with Akshaya Patra to design and run online campaigns that have helped build its online audience, improved engagement and increased its donor base across corporates and individuals. Campaign highlights include AMFAM Day that encourages people across London to buy a meal that helps provide a child with school lunches for a year, Food For Thought Events that bring together supporters and volunteers over topical talks, The Veggie Hub which builds an active community of vegetarians in partnership with the foundation, Dishoom partner campaigns, promotional fundraisers with Bollywood legend Shabana Azmi and much more…
